Total time
  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 4-5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 2 teaspoons low sodium soy sauce
  1. Blanch the green beans and cook for about 2 minutes. Drain the water and rinse the green beans thoroughly with cold water to stop them from cooking any further.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the minced garlic, sugar, oyster sauce, and soy sauce, then set it aside.
  3. Heat the sesame oil and olive oil together in a saute pan over medium heat and stir.
  4. When the oil is hot, add the garlic sauce mixture to the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken.
  5. Add the green beans and stir to coat all the beans in the sauce.
  6. Cook for about 4 more minutes then serve.
